La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Only accredited La Leche League Leaders are authorized to represent and/or speak for La Leche League International. Membership in La Leche League of MA/RI/VT is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year online subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine. The La Leche League mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.

LLL of Providence |

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Meeting Information LLL of Providence will meet on a Friday from 12-2pm at the Rochambeau Branch of the PPL at 708 Hope St, Providence RI. Meeting dates are as follows: Sept. 30, Nov. 4, Dec. 2, Dec. 30. For 2012, meetings will be held the last Friday of each month. Please call a Leader to confirm dates and times. Leader Information La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
