La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Only accredited La Leche League Leaders are authorized to represent and/or speak for La Leche League International. Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI The La Leche League International mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Meeting Information Meetings are held on the second Friday of every month at 10:00 a.m. at 472 East Street, Dedham. Please feel free to park in the driveway or out front on the street. Please enter through the side door off of the driveway. March 12 The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties April 9 Nutrition and Weaning May 14 Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby June 11 Baby Arrives: The Family ad the Breastfed Baby Breastfeeding Cafe's/Toddler Meetings at Whole Food Market, Dedham, the 3rd Thursday of each month.
Casual, drop-in gatherings for nursing moms at the play area close to the Paper Store entrance. Leader Information La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
