La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Only accredited La Leche League Leaders are authorized to represent and/or speak for La Leche League International. Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI The La Leche League International mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Meeting Information LLL of Central Rhode Island meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 10:30am to 12:00 noon at Louttit Library, 274 Victory Highway, West Greenwich, RI
02817. It's on Rte. 102 (a.k.a. Victory Highway), next to the police
station. Behind the library is a very good fenced-in playground, with lots
of shade and a few picnic tables. The library is about 5 miles equidistant
between Rtes. 95 and 117. Please call a Leader for information and directions. Our monthly meetings cover the following topics:
Leader Information La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
