La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Only accredited La Leche League Leaders are authorized to represent and/or speak for La Leche League International. Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine and a discount on items purchased from LLLI The La Leche League International mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother.

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Meeting Information All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Feel free to attend any or all of the scheduled meetings. Pregnant women are encouraged to attend; nursing infants are always welcome. Feel free to attend any or all of the scheduled meetings. If the City of Cambridge cancels school for the day, the meeting will be cancelled. Donations of juices and snacks for sharing are appreciated. Our meetings: Toddler Meeting First Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 am, with socializing until noon. We meet at the Greater Boston Vineyard Church Administrative Building, 15 Notre Dame Ave, North Cambridge. Meeting will take place on the second floor of this building. From the Notre Dame Ave entrance, walk up the stairs into the main door and walk straight until you cannot walk straight anymore (large copier on your right). Then take either a left or a right and you will come to staircases on either side of the building which will take you up to the second floor. We will be the only ones on the second floor and meeting in the large room in the middle of the floor labeled "library". Regular Meeting Second Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 am, with socializing until noon. Leader Information La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
At this time we are unable to provide personal breastfeeding help via e-mail. For answers to your questions by e-mail, you can use the LLLI Help Form, and you will receive a reply from an accredited volunteer LLL Leader within a week. Items for sale: La Leche League's classic book, THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING ($16.95 + tax), and Over The Shoulder Baby Holder baby slings ($35.00 + tax) are available for sale. We also sell tie-dye infant and children clothing and doll slings. All proceeds benefit LLL of Arlington and Cambridge.
