Frequently Asked Questions about Kaleidoscope

Q:  Kaleidoscope sounds like a great event, but I’m not sure I can attend.  Will it be offered again next summer?
A: No, Kaleidoscope will not be offered next summer. It's a special training event.  Leader Development Seminars will be scheduled for next summer.

Q:  If I don’t want to attend the full event July 8-12, which day(s) would be of most interest to a Leader who’s not on the Area Council?
A:  Kaleidoscope is an opportunity to be involved with La Leche League beyond Group work. Different topics are scheduled each day. Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday will focus on the seven Area departments and the work they do.  Friday's program offers four different sessions with four topics of interest to all Leaders. There will also be a Healthcare Provider Seminar where CERPs, PA Nursing CEUs and CMEs for physicians are offered.

Q:  Do I have to pay the $15 late fee if I register now?
A: Registration without a late fee has been extended until June 17, 2009.

Q:  Can I still get the discounted hotel rate?
A: Yes, the hotel has extended the discounted rate. They will honor it as long as there is space available within the hotel.

Q:  Can my Area pay for some of my costs for attending?
A:  Leader funding is up to the discretion of each Area. It certainly is an allowable use of Area funds.
