Default Need help with latch...about ready to quit after 4 months!

Hi!
My dd is 4 months old and we have had issues from the beginning. I don't think she has ever had a good latch. She can get milk out, but its not far enough back in her mouth. I'm pretty sure it's only going to her hard palate and not to her soft palate where it's suppose to be. It only hurts me sometimes, but I think I may just be getting use to it. She opens her mouth wide and I pull her onto the breast as quickly as I can, but then she pulls back. I'm not really sure now how to get my breast as far back ion her mouth as it's suppose to be. I've tried and exercise a lactation consultant told me to do. I rubbed her gums until she stuck her tongue out (which she only did for a second, but shes not tongue tied) then walked my finger back on her tongue to the back and then flipped my finger over. She's not curling her tongue around my finger and sucking. She's chewing on my finger and gagging so I know she's not sucking the breast properly either. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help??? I don't want to quit, but I'm SO frustrated that I feel like it a lot!
Thanks!
