La Leche League of MA-RI-VT invites you to the 2012 Breastfeeding and Parenting Conference. Join us for a wide variety of session topics presented by expert speakers. Stay with us at the CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort. Shop the exhibit hall and bookstore, dine and enjoy a fun weekend with like-minded families. Silent Auction Saturday
The Silent Auction is a fun-filled event with exciting items. Additional items are always needed and Groups are encouraged to donate a theme basket, new items, or event tickets/passes. Please contact Marya at marya@kozik.org or 413-441-7176 if you would like to make a donation to the Silent Auction. Any miscellaneous items brought on the morning of the auction will be saved for Serendipity on Sunday. Silent Auction items may be purchased with cash, check or credit card.
Exhibits Saturday and Sunday
Many interesting exhibits are expected at the conference. Groups are also encouraged to set up their own fundraising boutiques. For additional information on having a boutique table, please contact Kathy at lllmarivt.conference@gmail.com.
Bookstore Saturday and Sunday
The bookstore features many of the latest books and pamphlets on breastfeeding, parenting and other family topics. Purchases may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
Serendipity Sunday
Purchase tickets for the chance to win a wide variety of items. Come and play Serendipity with us. This exciting game is available only on Sunday.
Alumnae
Please come and share our day. Topics such as Seasoned Leaders: Why LLL Needs Them, Family Dynamics: When Parenting Styles of Adult Children Differ, Growing Up in LLL and Alumnae Get Together have been planned especially for you. Join us at lunch to reunite with old friends.
New Leader Recognition
Area Leaders who have been accredited between April 2010 and February 2012 will be honored with a special candlelight ceremony prior to the keynote speaker on Saturday morning. Please plan on attending to congratulate our new Leaders.
Leader Anniversary Awards
Leaders reaching a 5-year milestone will be receiving anniversary pins. Come celebrate the many years of experience we have in our Area. If you have been a Leader more than five years and didn’t get a pin on your last anniversary, you can pick one up after the Sunday brunch.
Volunteers
Dayworkers are always needed. If you, your partner or your teenager would like to donate an hour or more of time during the conference, please contact Leslie at leslies4@verizon.net or 978-568-8424. Adult dayworkers will receive a discount coupon to use in the bookstore. If you check the dayworkers box on the registration form, instructions will be placed in your registration folder.
Session Monitors
Monitors are needed in each session to assist the speaker with handouts, get water, start the session on time and have attendees sign-in if they are receiving LLL Leader CERPs or CEUs. If you would like to be a monitor in a session you are registered for please check the box on the registration form. Monitor instructions will be in your registration packet on the day of the conference.
Continuing Education
Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) for lactation consultants have been applied for from the Alliance for Breastfeeding Education division of LLLI through a providership with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Qualifying topics are designated “CERP.” LLL-Alliance Continuing Education Units for Leaders and Leader Applicants have been applied for on the sessions marked “CEU.” CEUs allow Leaders to document their breastfeeding education (BE), organization and management training (OM), communication skills instruction (CS) and Leader eithics training (E). CERPS $5 per session.

Scholarships
A limited number of registration scholarships to the conference are available for LLL Leaders and Leader Applicants with financial need. For scholarship details contact Krishyon Young, Area Coordinator of Leaders at lovellleague@gmail.com.
Children/Grandchildren of LLL & LLLove Lines
For $2 per name you can list your children/grandchildren’s names in our Program Booklet. For $5 you can have your message printed in the Program Booklet. Listings must be received by February 10. Mothers and Groups may also support LLL of MA-RI-VT by purchasing ads. Give a shout out to your Group or family or advertise your business!
